Faffalot Plus — Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. About these terms and who we are
These terms apply to Faffalot Plus, our app for organising tasks, routines and appointments and helping you focus on one step at a time. They do not apply to the separate free Faffalot or Faffalot Shower apps.
Faffalot Plus is provided by Faffalot Designs Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”), a limited company registered in Scotland.
Company number: SC891783
Registered office: 3 Queen Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 1JE
Email: fiona@faffalot.com
Website: https://www.faffalot.com
Please read these terms before using the app or subscribing. By using Faffalot Plus, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you already have a subscription, you must cancel it separately through Apple to stop future renewals.
For apps downloaded from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to the app licence:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
These service terms supplement that licence and do not replace it. Apple’s terms also govern purchases and use of your Apple Account. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
2. Using Faffalot Plus
Faffalot Plus is intended for users aged 13 or over. If you are under 18, please use the app with a parent or guardian’s permission. Any purchase must be made by someone authorised to use the Apple Account and its payment method.
The app provides practical support with everyday tasks and routines. It is not a medical service and does not diagnose or treat ADHD, autism or any other condition. Results vary between users. Do not rely on the app as your only reminder for medication, emergencies or other safety-critical matters.
You may use the app for your personal use, in accordance with these terms, Apple’s licence and applicable law. Please do not deliberately damage or disrupt the app, bypass purchase verification, or infringe someone else’s rights. Any restrictions on copying or reverse engineering are subject to exceptions permitted by law and applicable open-source licences.
We own or license the app’s software, design and branding. You retain ownership of the tasks, routines and other content you create.
3. Subscriptions, prices and payment
Access to Faffalot Plus requires an active subscription, an eligible free trial, or complimentary access expressly granted by us.
The standard subscription renews monthly. The subscription screen and Apple’s purchase confirmation show the price, currency, billing period and any available offer before you confirm. Please check these details before purchasing.
Apple processes payments using the payment method associated with your Apple Account. If no free trial or other offer applies, payment is charged when you confirm the purchase. If a free trial applies, payment begins when the trial ends unless you cancel in time.
Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. To avoid the next charge, turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Deleting the app or stopping using it does not cancel your subscription.
4. Free trials and returning subscribers
A seven-day introductory free trial may be available to eligible customers. A trial is included only if it is shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation. Apple determines eligibility under its introductory-offer rules.
Apple allows one introductory offer per subscription group. Cancelling, reinstalling the app or subscribing again does not reset eligibility. If you have already used the introductory offer for this subscription group, a new subscription is normally charged at the price shown when you confirm, unless Apple presents a separate eligible offer.
A free trial automatically becomes a paid monthly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
5. Managing and cancelling your subscription
You can open Apple’s subscription management screen using “Manage subscription / Cancel” in Faffalot Plus. You can also manage it on your iPhone or iPad under:
Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Faffalot Plus
Turning off renewal normally lets you continue using Plus until the end of the period you have paid for. Free-trial access may end earlier if Apple ends the trial on cancellation. Apple’s subscription screen and the access status confirmed by Apple determine when access ends.
After access expires, you can no longer use subscription-only features unless you subscribe again or have another valid grant of access.
Cancelling future renewal does not itself request a refund for a payment already made.
6. Refunds, complaints and consumer rights
For purchases billed by Apple, you can request a refund at:
https://reportaproblem.apple.com/
Apple assesses requests under its policies and applicable consumer law. Refund eligibility and any cooling-off or withdrawal rights depend on your location and the circumstances of your purchase. Starting immediate access to digital content may affect withdrawal rights where the law permits and the required consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. These terms do not themselves waive those rights.
If the app is faulty, does not match its description or you have another concern about our service, please contact fiona@faffalot.com. Using Apple’s refund process does not remove any rights or remedies you have against us under applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights. In the UK, these include applicable rights relating to digital content being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and services being provided with reasonable care and skill.
7. Restoring purchases and changing devices
Use “Restore Purchases” in Faffalot Plus to check an existing subscription using the Apple Account used for the purchase. Restoring an existing purchase does not create a new subscription or charge.
Subscription access can be restored on compatible devices supported by the app. Restoring purchases restores subscription access; it does not restore your tasks, routines, appointments or other locally stored content.
Faffalot Plus does not currently provide its own cloud synchronisation or an export/import feature. Device backups may help restore local content depending on your device settings, but we cannot guarantee this. Please keep a separate copy of important information before deleting the app, resetting a device or changing phones.
8. Your content and privacy
The tasks, routines, appointments, names and preferences you enter are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a Faffalot account system or a cloud database of that content.
Subscription verification is separate from your local content. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription information so the app can check access. Local task and routine content is not sent to RevenueCat as part of subscription verification.
Our Privacy Policy explains the information processed in connection with the app, subscription management and support, and your data protection rights:
https://www.faffalot.com/faffalot-plus-privacy
Information you choose to send us by email is processed to deal with your enquiry. Please avoid including sensitive task details unless they are needed to explain a problem.
9. Updates, availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Faffalot Plus working reliably and will provide updates required by applicable law. You may need a compatible device, a supported operating system and the latest app version. An internet connection may be needed for purchases, restoration and subscription verification.
We may make reasonable changes to improve the app, fix problems, maintain security or comply with law. We will explain material changes in the app or on our website and give reasonable advance notice where practicable. We will not use this clause to remove the essential features you have paid for without an appropriate remedy.
If we discontinue the service or materially reduce what an existing subscription provides, we will give reasonable advance notice where possible and explain cancellation and any applicable refund or other remedy for the affected paid period.
Subscription price changes are administered through Apple. We will comply with applicable notice and consent requirements. Any required Apple notices or consent requests will be provided through Apple’s processes, and you can cancel before a new price applies.
10. Our responsibility if something goes wrong
If we breach these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or was reasonably contemplated when the contract was made.
We do not promise uninterrupted or completely error-free operation. This does not reduce our duty to supply the app in accordance with applicable consumer law or to provide remedies where we fail to do so.
The app is supplied for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost business profits, lost business opportunities or interruption to a business.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, damage to devices or other digital content where the law makes us responsible, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, the app or subscription arrangements. We will publish the updated terms with a new date and notify users of material changes through the app, with reasonable advance notice where practicable.
Changes will not apply retrospectively or remove rights relating to an existing purchase. Where a change requires your express agreement, we will obtain it. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the app and cancel future renewal. Your rights relating to any affected paid period remain protected.
11. Applicable law and resolving concerns
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live outside Scotland, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
If you have any questions or concerns about Faffalot, please contact me at fiona@faffalot.com. I'll do my best to help resolve any issues fairly and promptly.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights, including your rights under applicable law to seek a remedy.
