Faffalot Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Who we are
Faffalot is provided by Faffalot Designs Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”), a limited company registered in Scotland.
Company number: SC891783
Registered office: 3 Queen Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 1JE
Email: fiona@faffalot.com
Website: https://www.faffalot.com
These terms apply to the free Faffalot app. Faffalot Plus and Faffalot Shower are separate apps with their own terms.
Please read these terms before using Faffalot. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
For the version downloaded from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
These terms supplement that licence and do not replace it. Nothing in these terms reduces rights that cannot legally be excluded.
2. What Faffalot provides
Faffalot is a task and routine helper designed to make it easier to get started and focus on one step at a time. You choose the tasks and routines you enter and how you use them.
Faffalot is free to download and use. It does not require a paid subscription. Faffalot Plus is a separate subscription app; using Faffalot does not sign you up to Plus or create a payment obligation.
The free app has limits on the number of tasks and routines you can save. The app explains the limits that apply to its features.
Faffalot offers practical support, not a medical service. It does not diagnose or treat ADHD, autism or any other condition. Experiences and results vary. Do not rely on the app as your only reminder for medication, emergencies or other safety-critical matters.
3. Children and younger users
Children should use Faffalot with appropriate guidance from a parent or guardian. If you are not old enough to agree to these terms yourself under applicable law, a parent or guardian should review them and oversee your use.
Apple's rules for downloading and using apps also apply. The App Store age rating describes the app's content; it does not replace those rules or determine whether someone can enter into a legal agreement.
4. Using the app fairly
You may use Faffalot for your personal tasks and routines in accordance with these terms, Apple's licence where applicable, and the law.
Please do not deliberately damage or disrupt the app, use it unlawfully, or infringe someone else's rights. Restrictions on copying, modifying or reverse engineering the software are subject to exceptions permitted by law and the licences of any open-source components.
You may stop using the app at any time.
5. Your content and privacy
You retain ownership of the tasks, routines and other content you create. We do not claim ownership of your personal content.
Your task and routine content is stored locally on your device. Faffalot does not provide its own cloud synchronisation or a Faffalot user-account service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including any information you choose to send us for support:
https://www.faffalot.com/faffalot-privacy
You are responsible for choosing what to enter and keeping a separate copy of information you cannot afford to lose. Deleting the app, resetting your device or changing phones may cause loss of locally stored content. A device backup may help, depending on your settings, but we cannot guarantee that it will restore your content.
These practical limitations do not exclude any responsibility we have under applicable law for loss caused by our fault.
6. Reminders and device settings
Where you enable reminders, their delivery depends on your device permissions, settings and operating system. Notifications may be delayed, silenced or blocked.
Check your settings and use an additional reminder method for important commitments. The app cannot guarantee that a reminder will always be delivered or noticed.
7. Ownership of the app
We own or license Faffalot's software, design and branding. Downloading the app gives you permission to use it under the applicable licence; it does not transfer ownership of the software.
This does not affect your ownership of your own tasks, routines or other content.
8. Updates and availability
We aim to keep Faffalot working reliably. You may need a compatible device, a supported operating system and an up-to-date app version.
We may make reasonable changes to improve the app, fix problems, maintain security or comply with law. We will provide any updates required by applicable law.
If a change materially affects how you use the app, we will explain it through the app or our website and give reasonable advance notice where practicable. If we discontinue the app, we will give reasonable advance notice where possible so you can make alternative arrangements.
We do not promise uninterrupted or completely error-free operation. This does not remove our obligations under applicable law.
9. Our responsibility
If we breach these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or was reasonably contemplated when the agreement was made.
Faffalot is supplied for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost business profits, lost business opportunities or interruption to a business.
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, damage to devices or other digital content where the law makes us responsible, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer rights that apply to you. The fact that Faffalot is free does not remove protections that apply under the law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law or the app. We will publish the updated terms with a new date and bring material changes to your attention through the app, with reasonable advance notice where practicable.
Changes will not apply retrospectively or remove rights you already have. Where a change requires your express agreement, we will obtain it. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the app.
11. Applicable law and resolving concerns
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you live outside Scotland, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
If you have any questions or concerns about Faffalot, please contact me at fiona@faffalot.com. I'll do my best to help resolve any issues fairly and promptly.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights, including your rights under applicable law to seek a remedy.
